What a year!

Posted on: November 19th, 2012 by Chris No Comments

Thanks again to all who came to our Single Launch at the Grace Darling last Thurs. It was a great night and a fantastic way to sign off on what has been a busy and landmark year for us. We’ve played more shows in the last year than ever before, including our first interstate shows in years, released four singles, and EP, and our first ever film clip. Massive.

As the year winds to a close, we’ll be taking a break from playing live while we work on our next record, so you won’t be seeing or hearing as much from us in the coming months. Don’t worry though, we’ll be back bigger and better than ever next year.

So, until then, thanks again to everyone who came to all of our shows in 2012, your presence is what makes performing so special for us. Thanks too to all who have downloaded and purchased our tracks and EP, as well as those who have written to us & contributed to our Facebook page, Twitter feed, etc. It means a lot.

Have a wonderful, safe break over Christmas and the New Year period, and we look forward to being able to announce new songs, a new major release and new shows in 2013.

All the best,
Chris, Marcus, Tom, David and Jesse.

“End of the World” single launch (& last show for 2012) – this Thursday!

Posted on: November 12th, 2012 by Chris No Comments

Due to impending fatherhood for our drummer, David, and our busy schedule of writing and recording for the next record, our next live show this Thursday (Nov 15th) will be our last for about 6 months.

The show, our official Melbourne single launch for new single “End of the World”, is at The Grace Darling Hotel (one of our fave Melb venues) in Smith St, Collingwood, and we’ll be supporting the terrific Goodbye Motel for their “People” EP launch.

Tix are $10 on the door, doors open from 8.30pm and we’ll be on about 9.30.

Hope to see you there!

Best, Chris.

New Single Available Now!

Posted on: October 17th, 2012 by marcus 2 Comments

Our new single is out now!

Recorded in our bedrooms over multiple sessions, this is our first song to be completely done in-house, with mixing down by our very own Chris Andrews!

A big thanks goes to Joe Laporta for his mastering prowess and to Bart Borghesi for the cover photo, taken from his beautiful series on Port Phillip Bay, which is a must see.

If you’d like to download the track, just go to our Soundcloud page and select the download option. Alternatively, you can also purchase it via our online store or iTunes.

Also we’ll be playing a couple of launch shows for the single. The first will be this Saturday, October 20, at Upstairs Beresford in Surry Hills, Sydney. The Melbourne launch will be at The Grace Darling Hotel on Nov 15. These will be our last shows for the year so we’d love to see you!

Marcus.

Attention Remixers/Producers!

Posted on: June 21st, 2012 by Chris No Comments

Inspired by the tasty Dupree remix of “Broke”, we’ve decided to throw open the doors to our project files vault! We’ve just uploaded the main track stems (vocal acappella, bass, guitar, etc.) from all of the songs on our EP to our Soundcloud page here.

They’re all downloadable, and can be freely used to create your own version of one of our tracks. All we ask is that you let us know if you finish a remix, cos we’d love to hear it and share it with our fans. If we really love it, we can even help you release it!

Happy remixing!

EP Launched!

Posted on: June 5th, 2012 by Chris No Comments

Well, the EP has now been well & truly launched. Proceedings kicked off in style up in Sydney at The Beresford Hotel in Surry Hills (which is fast becoming one of our favourite venues) on Friday the 18th May, where we were supported by Brisbane outfit Fever Pitch and Morgan Joanel. Both sets were great, and warmed up the peeps perfectly. Audiences there are always big and responsive, & and that night was no exception – full room, great crowd, awesome sound (as usual). We had a ball!

That was followed by the Melbourne launch at the beautiful Grace Darling Hotel on Smith Street, Collingwood, where we had the honour of sharing a bill with some of our fave local bands – The Raffaellas and The Red Lights – plus the awesome DJ Double-A. All played exceptional sets and got the crowd all revved up for us.

Both sets were some of the best we’ve played, and some of the most enjoyable stage experiences for us, and so much of that is down to our amazing fans. Thank you so much to everyone who came down to the launch shows & all the other shows in the lead-up to the launch, you really made the months of hard work so worthwhile.

We have a bunch of shows coming up in June, including our first regional shows, so stay tuned for more info.

Thanks again,
NS xx
